Andhadhun is highly praised for its fresh take on dark comedy cum thriller film made in
Bollywood. The story is about an apparently blind pianist and his misadventures resulting from a series of unpredictable incidents that take place in his life. The movie was greatly appreciated by critics and cinema lovers for the crisp storytelling and great performances.
It was outstandingly directed and co-written by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Matchbox Pictures with Ayushman Khurana and Tabu in leading roles.
The film successfully grossed over 456 crores at the worldwide box office. List of awards and nominations are countless. However, to name a few, Andhadhun won 3 National Film Awards for Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Actor for Khurrana, and Best Screenplay. It also won 4 awards, including Best Director and Best Screenplay, at the Screen Awards Ceremony and 5 Filmfare Awards, including Best Film (Critics) and Best Actor (Critics) for Khurrana amongst the others.
