About The Project
Bigil is a sports drama Tamil film featuring Vijay, the south superstar and is directed by Atlee. The movie is high on action, drama and emotions. It’s a mass entertainer with a message on women empowerment along with sports at the core of the story.
The story is about a defamed coach played by Vijay who brings together an all-women football team and thrives towards a winning goal and also avenges the death of his father. It’s about motivation, struggle; revenge combined with some action-packed performances.
AR Rahman’s music, Vijay’s double role in the movie, and the amazing direction and performances makes it a complete entertainer.
Bigil won the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards 2020 for the “Most Popular Film” along with the Zee Cine Awards for Favourite Heroine – Nayanthara and Favourite Actor – Vijay for Bigil.
