About The Project
Mulk is a story of a Muslim family whose youngest member gets involved in terrorism, which pushes the family into dark religious controversy. The film speaks about the hard-hitting issues caused in the name of religion in our country.
The movie was aptly directed by Anubhav Sinha with stellar performances by Rishi Kapoor and Tapsee Pannu.
At the 64th Filmfare Awards, Mulk was nominated for 6 awards, including Best Actress (Critics) – Tapsee Pannu and Best Supporting Actor – Pahwa and winning Best Story – Anubhav Sinha. Besides, it also won the Star Screen Awards for Best Film (Critics), Filmfare Awards for Best Story, News18 Reel Movie Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Dialogues.
It garnered a box office collection of 28.33 crores. The movie was well-received amongst the audience and the film critics for its fearless and
courageous take on the bitter truth of the society.
