Padmaavat is a strong, compelling story about pride, valour and prestige. It’s a beautifully made period film set in medieval Rajasthan. It’s an epic story of a queen named Padmavati who’s married to the Rajput Ruler named Ratan Singh. Her life takes an ugly turn when a ruthless and powerful sultan learns about her beauty and is infatuated with her.
It’s an entertaining, larger than life film with great cinematic experience created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and some great performances by the leading cast. It is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The movie gathered a lot of
controversies and the entire team had to bear the brunt of the strong opposition it received. However, it still became one of the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time.
The film won nearly 25 awards, which includes 3 national awards for Best Music Direction, Best Male Playback Singer, and Best Choreography. It also has nearly 60 plus nominations to its name.
