About The Project
Rangoon is one of Vishal Bhardwaj’s more ambitious projects. It’s a love story, rather a love triangle blooming amidst the Second World War. The drama begins when Kangana, muse of the former action star Rusi played by Saif, ends up in the beautifully massive jungles of Arunachal Pradesh where she stumbles upon Shahid Kapoor who is an Indian soldier in the British army. It’s a riveting story that unfolds when the relations of the trio gets further entangled along with the introduction of an old-school villian to add extra touch of drama. The director tries to tell a gripping love story of the valorous lovers through his picturesque movie with amazing cinematography and great music. Rangoon won the Best Background Score and Best Song Producer award in the 10th Mirchi Music Awards and was nominated for Best Choreography, Best Action, Best Actress and Best Production Design by Filmfare Awards in 2018.
